Basically the entire OpenSpace-Online® conference system is designed in a way that makes it possible for people with a "standard" computer system and a stable Internet connection to participate synchronously. The communication protocol between the client and the server software was specifically optimized. The extensive graphics are already integrated into the conference software and therefore do not need to be transferred back and forth via Internet during the conference.
However, since this real-time conference takes place over a network (Internet, Extranet, Intranet), a number of contingencies, which could affect the participation in a troublesome way, might exist. These contingencies may include a general network overload, a slow and/or a not stable functioning internet connection, a wrongful entry of the User-ID and/or secret code, the simultaneous use of one or more resource-intensive applications during a ongoing conference, or similar occurrences. |
