For years, OpenSpace-Online GmbH has been a pioneer in the new area of implementable "Holistic Returns on Investments”, which deals not only with short-term cost and time efficiency, but particularly with a holistic, sustainable consideration, participation, and strengthening of people, organizations, and the environment.
To advance the idea of "Holistic Sustainable Business" and to help more and more organizations in society, the economy, and politics to actively make the change with strong partners, OpenSpace-Online GmbH and B.A.U.M. e.V. have entered into a long-term cooperation, which will have an effect far beyond Germany. We are very happy about this! Under the acronym B.A.U.M. the German Environmental Management association since 1984 combines successfully and in a future oriented way economical, ecological and social questions, i. e. the principles of sustainability. Today B.A.U.M. with its more than 500 members is the European business community's largest environmental initiative. Many well known companies as well as non-profit organizations and institutions are members of B.A.U.M and pledged themselves to the B.A.U.M. ethical code for environmental management.
B.A.U.M.'s aim is to sensitize companies, local authorities and organizations for the importance of pro-active environmental protection and the vision of sustainable management, and to support them in implementing ecologically effective, economically sensible and socially just schemes. To reach its goals, B.A.U.M. as an information and contact network endeavors intensively to promote an active and practice oriented exchange of information and experiences and to build and foster manifold national and international contacts in the areas of business, science, politics and media.
For their work B.A.U.M. and its member companies received public respect and acknowledgement. This is proven by many awards of high renown, among them the early recognition of their commitment by the reception to the UN Global 500 Roll of Honour, the German Environmental Award or the commendation of the campaign "Solar – na klar!" as the best national campaign for renewable energies in Europe by the EU in 2001.
