Activate language keyboard setting to one of the 16 possible languages
The CURRENT OpenSpace-Online® Software version support 16 different languages entries: Albanian | Danish | German | English | French | Finnish | Galicia | Erse | Icelandic | Italian | Catalan | Dutch | Norwegian | Portuguese | Swedish | Spanish
Users from other countries are also able to participate in text-based OpenSpace-Online® meetings, by only changing the keyboard/language-setting on their computer to one of the 16 above mentioned languages, e.g. a few moments before conference start.
How to change keyboard language in Windows XP?
1.) On the Microsoft Windows <Start> menu, point to <Control Panel>. 2.) Click <Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options> and then click <Regional and Language Options>. 3.) Click the <Languages> tab and then click <Details> under <Text services and input languages>. 4.) Select the desired keyboard layout from the <Default input language> list and then click <Apply>. 5.) If you want to be able to switch keyboard layouts by using the <Language> bar, click <Language Bar> under <Preferences>, and then select the <Show the Language bar on the desktop> check box. If the Language bar is visible: On the <Language> bar, click the keyboard layout indicator , and then click the layout you want. The letters on the indicator change to reflect the language of the keyboard. If the Language bar is not visible: On the Microsoft Windows taskbar, click the keyboard layout indicator , and then click the layout you want. The letters on the indicator change to reflect the language of the keyboard.
If a language does not appear in the Input language list, the fonts for that language might not be installed. If that is the case, follow the instructions below.
Add language support 1.) On the Windows <Start> menu, point to <Control Panel>, and then click <Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options>. 2.) Click the <Regional and Language Options> icon, and then click the <Languages> tab. 3.) In the Supplemental languages support box, select the check boxes that correspond to the languages you want to use.
You will prompted to insert the Windows CD-ROM or point to a network location where the files are located. After the files are installed, you must restart your computer.
On-Screen Keyboard
On–Screen Keyboard is an accessibility utility that displays a virtual keyboard on the computer screen that allows people to type data by using a pointing device or joystick.
To open On-Screen Keyboard, click <Start>, point to <Programs>, point to <Accessories>, point to <Accessibility>, and then click <On-Screen Keyboard>. The application window in which you want to type must be active while you are using On-Screen Keyboard.
